It's bounce-back time in downtown Kansas City as the Wildcats prepare to take on Lon Kruger's Runnin' Rebels for the second straight year.
Last year, this game was a turning point in our season from which we gained boundless confidence and stormed all the way to the Elite Eight.
So which will it be? Will K-State show some resolve after the disaster on Saturday and find a way to win in front of a home crowd? Or will the funk continue, sending the Cats spiraling toward a second loss in a row and casting doubt upon what was thought to be a promising season?
One thing's for sure: I'll have to mute the TV after about five minutes of Dickie V blaring in my ears.
UPDATE: Looks like it's going to be the latter: Jacob Pullen has been suspended three games and Curtis Kelly is suspended for at least tonight for impermissible benefits. Sounds like free clothing from a local store in a Manhattan. Secondary NCAA violations. More as it develops.
