K-State defeated Loyola of Chicago, 68-60, in the Windy City on Saturday. It wasn't pretty or anything, but it was a win.
It's hard to believe it's been four years for Jacob Pullen in Manhattan, but Saturday's "homecoming" in the city with the big shoulders was Pullen's chance to play in his home town.
I didn't see the game on TV (stupid FSN in Nebraska showed boxing instead), and I didn't catch the radio feed. So imagine my surprise in reading this article to see that Loyola's fans chanted "Overrated" at K-State in a loss. I hate that stupid chant when it's done in a win, but that just takes it to a whole other level of idiocy to call someone who beats you overrated.
Despite what seemed like a changing of the wind in the K-State lineup, Frank Martin says he's happy with Pullen at point guard.
Let's continue with the Pullen theme. After the game, Pullen made his displeasure with some K-State fans known via Twitter. My thoughts on this subject are too complicated to post here.
Texas defensive coordinator and head-coach-in-waiting Will Muschamp was hired over the weekend as Florida's new head coach.
Outstanding post by Spencer Hall of EDSBS on Urban Meyer's departure from Florida.
