RPI WATCH: 11/23/2010

New, comments

Hits to K-State's RPI included Bucknell apparently actually caring and thus shellacking Presbyterian, Savannah State's heartbreaking 2-point loss at Dayton and Oklahoma's inspired yet ultimately doomed effort against Kentucky in Maui.

All of which was offset, of course, by our stellar, nationally televised crushing of the Gonzaga Bulldogs, this earning a game tonight against the consensus best team in the country.

Also of assistance in building the Wildcats' tournament profile were James Madison's 1-point win over Princeton, Loyola Chicago's sixth win in a row and Baylor's dispatch of yet another over-matched mini-major.

In MIAA news, Emporia State somehow beat Bethany College despite shooting a chilly 2 of 24 from beyond the 3-point arc. You would think that after 12 or 13 misses a team might stop shooting 3s, but then you clearly would be underestimating the resolve of the Hornets.
