Today's ROFL moment is brought to you by the University of North Carolina:
College of Charleston 82, No. 9 North Carolina 79 (OT)
Now get the hell out of our way, Tar Heels.
We've got an AP Top 10 ranking to claim*.
Also worthy of celebration were Fort Hays State's road win over No. 1 Central Missouri, a victory sure to send the Tigers rocketing into the Division II Top 10; Alabama's road win at Toledo (hey, any road win is a good win for a young team such as the Crimson Tide); and UAPB, formerly the best winless team in the country, getting off the schneid against conference foe Mississippi Valley State — on the road and by one point in overtime, no less.
It would be awesome if the Golden Lions ran the table in conference play (as Ken Pomeroy is predicting) en route to a NCAA bid, after an 0-11 road trip from hell that would have destroyed most teams.
*Assuming, of course, that we take care of business in Columbia on Saturday.
