RPI WATCH: 1/3/2010

Saturday was a somewhat unpleasant day for our RPI and SOS.

Loyola and Boston each lost home games to conference opponents. Western Illinois (which I expected to suck) and IUPUI (which does not suck) both lost on the road to the same. Colorado got blasted at Tulsa. Oklahoma State fell at a semi-neutral site to Rhode freakin' Island. It all was pretty ugly.

The bright spots included Washington State improving to .500 in conference play (and that loss to Oregon doesn't look so bad, now that it's 2-0 with two big Pac-10 road wins); Cleveland State netting a road win and hopefully beginning to climb back to .500 overall; home wins by Mizzou, Texas A&M, Texas and Nebraska; and really impressive road wins by KU and Baylor.
