Football

Austin Meek, Topeka Capital-Journal -- 3 KSU questions vs. UMass: Prior to the UMass game, Meek posed three questions about K-State football.  Afterward, he provided his take on the three answers we got.

Kevin Haskin, TCJ -- Family fun fades for Cats: Interesting metaphor positing UMass as the "crotchety uncle" who tries to ruin the family picnic.

Meek, TCJ -- KSU notepad, grade card: Pretty much agree with the assessments.  As I said in the postgame thread, there were positives to take from this game even if the final score didn't reflect it.

Volleyball

The Manhattan Mercury -- No. 23 K-State volleyball wins Nike BYU Classic: After dropping two matches to ranked opponents to open the season, the volleyball team got back on track by winning BYU's tournament in Provo.  K-State swept Weber State and dropped Cal Poly, 3-1, before running into host BYU in the finals.  The Cougars were a stout opponent, forcing a fifth set, only to see K-State take the final set, 15-11.  The volleyball team returns home to face South Dakota on Tuesday before hosting the Varney's Kansas State Invitational this weekend.  If you want to see some volleyball, this would be a good week to get out to Ahearn.

Other Big 12 Stuff

Thanks to Bill C. of Rock M Nation for pointing this one out: StunnedFans.com

Speaking of stunned fans, The Ralphie Report is not impressed by CU's loss to Colorado State.

More from the stunned fans department: Crimson and Cream Machine explains the injury to Sam Bradford's shoulder.

The Fourum

Keep bringing that thunder, K-State students.

Sorry, Fourum. I messed up what I was going to say because you make me nervous.

Hey, Collegian: Next time you do an article about beer, maybe you should poll some people who are over the age of freshman.

I can't believe I got swine flu from a KU sorority house.
