In the heart of Louisiana's campus sits Cypress Lake, a 2-acre swampland populated by birds, fish and few hungry alligators. Nearby you'll find Cajun Field, home to the Louisiana football team and about 40,000 hungry fans.


K-State notebook: Week 2 |

The Ragin' Cajuns lost their starting quarterback, leading rusher and leading receiver from last year's team, but they do return all five starters on the offensive line. Chris Fisher, Ian Burks, Brad Bustle, Jonathan DeCoster and Kyle Pirtle have 118 combined starts, which ranks behind only Colorado State among FBS teams.

Afterward, Banks owned up to his mistakes while noting he was the target of frequent double teams. Had to chuckle when, three days later, Snyder brushed off a question about the the defensive attention Banks commands. "I don't know that anybody's going to line up necessarily and feel like they have to take him out of the ball game," Snyder said.
