No class tomorrow with the storm moving in. Just hope the airports stay open and on-schedule with the woman flying in tomorrow. While I'm on that subject, posting will be a bit light this weekend. Tomorrow I'll probably have my usual late-week sports column up, and on Friday we'll have some info on Missouri State from the Springfield News-Leader's Lyndal Scranton, the Bears' beat writer.
The biggest, and by far worst, news of the week is that starting linebacker Antwon Moore is done for the year with a knee injury. Moore really burst on the scene in the Auburn game, and was injured against San Jose State while sacking quarterback Adam Tafralis.
This is a big loss, but it may be an opportunity, too. Word is highly touted transfer Chris Patterson will replace Moore. Let's hope he's as good as advertised.
In other injury news, the KC Star reports the status of Bryan Baldwin and Ray Cheatham won't be decided until Saturday.
In more uplifting news, the Wichita Eagle has a nice feature on senior wide receiver Jordy Nelson. He's the kind of player every team could use more of, who leads by example. I get the feeling his teammates would run through a wall for him, which is a great way to help a team improve.
In other wide receiver news, JuCo transfer Ernie Pierce will replace Daniel Gonzalez in this weekend's starting lineup against Missouri State.
Saturday's full depth chart is here. Also, the Wildcat Walk will be on the east side of the Sports Complex this weekend. Take note if you plan to attend.

This link is from last week, but I want to alert you to a great column that tracks the Big 12. Every week, you can read Tim Griffin's "Big 12 Insider" on the San Antonio Express-News' Web site. Griffin does a wonderful job keeping track of all the conference teams and bringing up little-known morsels of information.
That's it for today. I'm going to buy a raft.
