Big 12 Football: North Division doesn't have it

Found this today off of Tim Griffin's blog on ESPN.

Although it sounds a little interesting, what happens when the powers shift in another 10 years? Do you realign the conference again? Thoughts?

....Time will tell, but they sure put themselves into position to do so by stripping the red shirt off athletic freshman Tyler Hansen at midseason and unleashing this unknown signal-caller on the Big 12 and the astounded Kansas State Jayhawks on Saturday night.....

Texas could get richer

This is one of the most outrageous things I've heard in a long time. There' are a bunch of things more important that one can "donate" too.
But if it does happen, at least it will 'supposedly' be going towards a great program.

Greatest College Catch

There's been a lot of talk going around recently about Edwin Baptiste's catch the other day. I've been seeing a few polls debating who's had the best catch of all time. So I decided to make one of my  own. And of course being a KSU blog I had to include one of Jordy Nelson's receptions.

Poll
Who has the greatest catch of all-time?
Chris Moore, WWU 1992
4 votes
Edwin Baptiste, MSU 2008
4 votes
Tyrone Prothro, 'Bama 2005
4 votes
Jordy Nelson, KSU 2007
4 votes
Other, and I'll prove it by visual evidence.

So who is going to be this year's Texas?

With back-to-back major upsets over Texas the past two years, who's most likely going to be the next? Who's national title hopes will be squashed?

I left out KU because frankly I don't think a win over them would be that much of an upset since we were expected to beat them so many times in the past. Plus I don't see them being anywhere close to the team that they were last year especially when they hit the bulk of the conference schedule.

Poll
Who will be this year's Texas?
Missouri
20 votes
Oklahoma
27 votes
Texas Tech
34 votes
We're not going to beat anybody good this year.

Murphy a Junior?

I'm not sure how this goes unnoticed, but Deon Murphy has another year of eligibility left. With a strong group of Juniors this season on offense, watch out for a big 2009 season.

Preseason Rankings are in.

The all important and season defining rankings are now out for your viewing pleasure. On paper I do believe the Dawgs in Athens to be a healthy favorite for the national title game. But then again, who cares right now?
