Spring Game to Air on Nine Stations

Kansas State’s 2011 spring football game will be broadcast live Saturday on nine radio nine stations across the state of Kansas and in the Kansas City metro area, as well as for free online at k-statesports.com, K-State Sports Network officials announced Wednesday. A special Purple-White pre-game show will open the broadcast at 12:45 p.m., while kickoff is set for 1:10 p.m. The Voice of the Wildcats, Wyatt Thompson, and former K-State quarterback Stan Weber will call the action, with Matt Walters providing updates from the sidelines.

Wyatt Thompson Honored with Hod Humiston Award

Wyatt Thompson, Voice of the Wildcats since 2002, has been selected as the 2011 recipient of the Hod Humiston Sportscaster of the Year Award, the Kansas Association of Broadcasters has announced. Previous winners of the award include K-State’s Dev Nelson (1980) and Mitch Holthus (1995). The KAB is a statewide trade association serving a membership of free, over-the-air radio and television broadcast stations.

Bill Snyder Radio Show Debuts Thursday

The Bill Snyder Radio Show will make its 2010 debut on Thursday as Saturday's season opener against UCLA draws nearer. The show, hosted by the Voice of the Wildcats Wyatt Thompson, will air live from 7 to 8 p.m. each week across the 36-station K-State Sports Network.
