The Slate is ready for the games. Today, K-State prepares for Baylor, SB Nation Bracketology has K-State on the 8 line, K-State women's basketball needs a win against Iowa State, and the Big 12 roundup.

The Slate narrowly missed. Today, K-State prepares for Texas Tech, Wildcats should have three guards ready to go, SB Nation Bracketology has K-State as an eight seed, Big 12 basketball roundup, and West Virginia buys out of Florida State game in September.

The Slate needs defense. Today, K-State prepares for Texas, Wildcats improve in practice, K-State needs to improve its defense, Chris Cosh (probably) going to USF, K-State women lose to Oklahoma, and Big 12 basketball roundup.

The Slate is melancholy. Today, K-State keeps its emotions in check as it prepares for Baylor, Wildcats move up to No. 18 in the polls and a four seed in bracketology, Tyler Lockett and B.J. Finney named freshmen all-Americans, leave recruits alone on social media, and Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma in Bedlam basketball.

It's a slow midweek at the Slate. Today, Jake Pullen is OK, Frank Martin has surgery, SB Nation Bracketology, and Gus Johnson gets buckets.
