The Slate needs defense. Today, K-State prepares for Texas, Wildcats improve in practice, K-State needs to improve its defense, Chris Cosh (probably) going to USF, K-State women lose to Oklahoma, and Big 12 basketball roundup.

K-State Slate: 1.10.12

The Slate is melancholy. Today, K-State keeps its emotions in check as it prepares for Baylor, Wildcats move up to No. 18 in the polls and a four seed in bracketology, Tyler Lockett and B.J. Finney named freshmen all-Americans, leave recruits alone on social media, and Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma in Bedlam basketball.

SB Nation Bracketology: K-State a 3

Chris is doing a tremendous job with SB Nation's bracketology. His latest projection has K-State as a three-seed in the Oklahoma City pod, matching up with Pacific. A possible second-round rematch with UNLV would await, as the Runnin' Rebels would match up with Illinois. Here's guessing Texas will be quickly sliding off that three line.
