The fourth annual K-State Family Reunion is just one month away, and K-State remains on track to reach unprecedented marks in season and total ticket sales as seats to all seven of the Wildcats’ home football games at Bill Snyder Family Stadium this season remain in high demand.
A very limited number of seats remain for the Missouri State, North Texas, KU, Oklahoma State and Texas games, while great seats still are available for the highly anticipated match-up with Miami on Sept. 8 and the Oct. 27 Homecoming game with Texas Tech.
Heading into the Sept. 1 opener against Missouri State, which kicks off at 6 p.m., K-State has surpassed last year’s public season ticket total by more than 3,000 and expects to reach record levels prior to the start of the season.
And with continued support from one of the best student sections in the country, evidenced by the 1,200-plus additional student tickets sold this year compared to the same date a year ago, it is well within reach for Wildcat Nation to sell out all seven home games in a season for the first time in program history.
Bill Snyder Family Stadium will be at full capacity for the second time in three home games Saturday, after K-State officials announced Friday that all remaining tickets to the UCF game are sold out.
Saturday’s sellout crowd will mark the first time since 2004 that two Wildcat home games in the same season have been at full capacity and the first time since 1999 that two non-conference home match-ups drew crowds of more than 50,000.
Following a season-opening record crowd of 51,059 for the UCLA game, the Wildcats played in front of 48,672 against Missouri State.
With more than 50,000 expected Saturday, the school record of 143,744 for the first three home non-conference games, set back in 2000, is well within reach.
The Kansas State Athletics Department is offering several ticket options for military personnel to attend Wildcat football games this season, including a $10 seat for both Saturday’s game against Missouri State and the UCF contest Sept. 25.
The match-up with Central Florida is Fort Riley Day at Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Wildcat fans also can purchase a $10 ticket to be donated to a Fort Riley soldier.
To purchase tickets for either game or to donate them to Fort Riley soldiers and their families, call the ticket office at 1-800-221-CATS or visit k-statesports.com.
