Oklahoma City University to face Kansas State in exhibition play

The Oklahoma City University Stars, an NAIA Division I women's basketball program, will travel up to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State in a Nov. 3 exhibition at Bramlage Coliseum. Last year, OCU faced another Big 12 foe, losing to Missouri 68-66 when a shot at the buzzer failed to meet its mark. The Stars managed a quarterfinal appearance in the NAIA National Tournament and a 27-4 overall record. The Wildcats finished 21-11 and earned an invitation to the NCAA Tournament before falling in their first round contest. Coincidentally, new OCU assistant coach Claire Coggins was a standout performer for Kansas State where she was a two-time all-Big 12 selection.
