Berney Family Contributes $5 Million to K-State

Rand and Patti Berney, of Bartlesville, Okla., have made a $5 million commitment to Kansas State University to establish the Berney Family Capital Project Fund, which was presented to President Kirk Schulz and Athletic Director John Currie at Saturday’s K-State-Oklahoma State football game. The fund will provide support for the two highest-priority capital projects on K-State’s Manhattan campus, and will be directed by Schulz for the renovation and maintenance of the K-State Welcome Center in Memorial Stadium and the initial construction of the K-State Basketball Training Facility.
