Baylor weathers KSU comeback

Miserable day in OKC for the Bat Cats. First, the team bus breaks down on the way, then a three-hour rain delay interrupts a game that already wasn't going well. With the loss, we need to beat both KU and Oklahoma to have a chance at advancing to the championship game. Next game is against KU on Friday, at 3 p.m. You can find a live feed here.

A.J. Morris: Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, Brad Hill: Big 12 Coach of the Year

Morris was the only Wildcat to make first team, while Carter Jurica was the only Wildcat to make second team. Drew Biery, Justin Bloxom, Jordan Cruz, Jason King and Nick Martini were honorable mention. Personally, I think some of those guys got the shaft, but regardless, K-State's historic season continues. Congratulations!

Watch K-State in the Big 12 Baseball Tournament for Free

If your job allows you the opportunity, tune in Wednesday at 9 a.m. to watch the Bat Cats take on the Chickenhawks. Hopefully we gain a little revenge from the pounding we took this past weekend.

If only the basketball team had won a few noncon games like this...

I'm not really a college baseball fan, so you can bet that if a win by the Bat Cats caught my attention, it must have been pretty significant. They downed No. 4 Arizona State 6-2 in the Sun Devils' home state and served notice that this might be the year Brad Hill finally turns the corner. The Cats are now 11-2 and, barring a complete collapse in conference play, appear to be on track for their first NCAA appearance since approximately 1878, I think.

Bat Cats Go 3-1 In San Diego tournament

K-State's early-season success continued in the Golden State as the Cats defeated Pacific, Nevada and San Diego State while losing by one run to highly ranked San Diego. After taking a series off Houston the first week of the season, K-State stands 5-2 on the young season. Good to see the team playing well against solid competition.

K-State Downs Houston 9-2, Takes Series

The Bat Cats are kicking off their season this weekend in the Space City against the school I currently attend. On Saturday, I took in K-State's 9-2 victory over UH, and offered up a recap/season preview over at Big 12 Hardball.
