With another capacity crowd guaranteed for the Oct. 27 homecoming match-up with Texas Tech, K-State Athletics has announced that a limited number of general admission tickets to the game with the Red Raiders have been made available for purchase. Those tickets, priced at $55, will be located on the grassy hill in the northeast corner of the stadium and may be purchased online at k-statesports.com or via phone at 1-800-221-CATS while quantities last.

With a capacity crowd expected for next Saturday’s K-State Family Reunion, K-State Athletics officials announced Friday that fewer than 2,500 tickets remain for the season opener against Eastern Kentucky.

Good move, IMO. Probably long overdue. Once again, thank you, Nebraska.

K-State Athletics and the Wildcat football program have set a 1:10 p.m. kickoff for the April 30 Purple-White spring football game at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Tickets for the spring game are priced at $5, while K-State students and children younger than 2 years old will be admitted at no charge. To purchase tickets, visit k-statesports.com or call the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-221-CATS. Both ticket booths at the stadium also will be open on game day, beginning at 10 a.m.

Excitement continues to build toward the start of the 2011 Kansas State baseball season, but season tickets for the 31-game home schedule remain available at the K-State Athletics ticket office and online at www.k-statesports.com, including three attractive season ticket options in different price ranges and stadium locations.

I guess it will take losing to a terrible team like KU (and not just getting embarrassed by a good team) to finally bench Coffman for good. Man, I was really wanting to see Lamur or Klein get a shot this week!
