Jalana Childs scored 21 points and Brittany Chambers added 19 for the Kansas State women's basketball team, but 20th-ranked Iowa State held off a second-half rally by the Wildcats for a 61-53 win Sunday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum.
Down by as many as 11 in the second half, Kansas State (16-7, 6-4) mounted a late comeback and eventually pulled within two points at 48-46 with 3:45 left as Childs worked her way in for one of her 10 field goals from the field.
