Former Kansas State pitcher Carlos Torres was named the International League starting pitcher for the 2010 Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park.
The all-star appearance is the third of Torres' minor-league career, including his second-straight in Triple-A.
The right-hander, who was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2004, was the latest former Wildcat to play in the Major Leagues when he saw action in eight games, including three starts, last season for the White Sox.
