K-State's Big 12 Conference match-up with Texas Tech has been chosen as the FOX College Football Game of the Week and will air to a full national audience after the network and the league office announced today television selections for Oct. 27.
Kickoff from Bill Snyder Family Stadium is set for 2:30 p.m.
With another capacity crowd guaranteed for the Oct. 27 homecoming match-up with Texas Tech, K-State Athletics has announced that a limited number of general admission tickets to the game with the Red Raiders have been made available for purchase.
Those tickets, priced at $55, will be located on the grassy hill in the northeast corner of the stadium and may be purchased online at k-statesports.com or via phone at 1-800-221-CATS while quantities last.
For the second time in six days, K-State fans have sold out Bill Snyder Family Stadium — athletic department officials announced today that all public tickets to the Sept. 15 match-up with North Texas have been sold.
The fourth annual K-State Family Reunion is just one month away, and K-State remains on track to reach unprecedented marks in season and total ticket sales as seats to all seven of the Wildcats’ home football games at Bill Snyder Family Stadium this season remain in high demand.
A very limited number of seats remain for the Missouri State, North Texas, KU, Oklahoma State and Texas games, while great seats still are available for the highly anticipated match-up with Miami on Sept. 8 and the Oct. 27 Homecoming game with Texas Tech.
Heading into the Sept. 1 opener against Missouri State, which kicks off at 6 p.m., K-State has surpassed last year’s public season ticket total by more than 3,000 and expects to reach record levels prior to the start of the season.
And with continued support from one of the best student sections in the country, evidenced by the 1,200-plus additional student tickets sold this year compared to the same date a year ago, it is well within reach for Wildcat Nation to sell out all seven home games in a season for the first time in program history.
Thanks to the generosity and leadership of K-Staters worldwide, Kansas State officially will move forward and break ground April 28 on the West Stadium Center project at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, prior the 2012 Purple-White game.
The ceremonial shovel turning, featuring President Kirk Schulz, Athletic Director John Currie, head football coach Bill Snyder and other special guests, will be approximately 11:30 a.m. on the west side of the stadium.
