Former Kansas State All-Americans Shalee Lehning and Nicole Ohlde concluded action in the 2010 WNBA regular season during the weekend. Lehning helped the Atlanta Dream to their second straight WNBA playoff appearance, while Ohlde endured a mid-season trade to the Tulsa Shock.
Two-time All-American Bob Boozer and the rest of the gold-medal winning 1960 U.S. Olympic team was enshrined into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame today in Springfield, Mass. The ceremony was held at 6 p.m. in the Springfield Symphony Hall and was televised on NBA TV.
Kansas State outfielder Nick Martini picked up his second All-America award Thursday, when he was named a second-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Martini, who also earned Louisville Slugger third-team All-American accolades from Collegiate Baseball, became the second-straight Wildcat to be honored by the ABCA, after A.J. Morris was named an All-American and the Midwest Region Player of the Year in 2009.
