Bill Walker: What will he do?

I am now down to one final exam remaining, but while the end is so near, it's still so far away.  As such, I don't have enough time to put up a full post, although I will note that K-State beat Arizona State, 7-6, in baseball last night, which is a huge win for the Cats.

Anyway, I thought the time was ripe for a community discussion of Bill Walker's future.  We haven't heard anything since he declared for the draft.  Is he gone?  Should he be?  Finally, if he were to return, what are the team's prospects for next year?  We know what Sooner fans think about that, now I want to hear what you think.

I think he should stay, but that's just me.

Whether or not he leaves for the big bucks is his decision and since he's gone MIA since declaring, all we can do is speculate. Here I go:

I stated earlier that I thought next years team was a top-8 team in the  Big 12. I'll stick to that for now. Hopefully this Bucchi kid can shoot - that'll take a lot of pressure off either Walker(if he stays) or one of our developing post players knowing there can be a threat just waiting for the kick-out. We have a lot of could-be talent, so I don't really don't know how well we can do.

With Walker = Top 6, (8-8 or 9-7)
Without Walker = Top 8, (7-9 or 6-8)

Without 10 wins in conference, it's NIT for us. I don't think Frank Martin is quite there to take the talent we have and win 10 conference games (Huggins was a different story).

I hope I'm wrong....... (in the good way)

Man do I hate Longhorn fans, well except for those who actually went there.

A lot of quesiton marks, that's for sure

It sounds like his draft stock has improved.  I don't know if that means he's done well in workouts or what.  Also, I haven't had time to check the mock drafts, so I don't know if they reflect that or not.

If he's a likely first round pick, I think he has to go, for his sake.  It would be an all-time shame if a player of his caliber came back next year and got hurt and destroyed his chances of playing in the league.

As for next year, I would think there's an outside chance of a top-four league finish with Walker.  It obviously depends on how good Clemente is, whether Pullen can be more consistent, and whether we can find somebody to knock down a few outside shots.  A lot of question marks, but then again most of the league has some questions, too.

We'll carry the banner high!
