Open Game Thread: K-State vs. Notre Dame

Who: K-State vs. Notre Dame
What: The Jimmy V Classic
When: December 4, 2007 | 6 p.m.
Where: New York City | Madison Square Garden (19,763)
Media: 1350 KMAN | ESPN

Should be a good matchup tonight.  I apologize for not getting more preview action going, considering Notre Dame is a team we're not familiar with.  For more information, check out the SB Nation blog Rakes of Mallow.  And they beat me to the punch, but I'm still going to post the video anyway, because it is usually my favorite part of Jimmy V Week:

Thank God for inspirational men who ignore the time constraints TV guys want to place on their speeches.

Go Cats!

Blackout!
Cats have come out in the special black jerseys.  Appropriate, for a game in MSG in the Jimmy V Classic.

Nice finish by Beasley to start the game.

Asthma?

Does Michael Beasley have asthma?  He just went out of the game after only four minutes, and was making a motion like he needed an inhaler.  Anybody know anything about this?

This is the second week in a row he's left the game early in the first half.

We need to do a better job on Luke Harangody, not to mention hit the boards harder.

Jeez

We're finally knocking down some outside shots, and now we can't rebound for crap and are throwing stupid passes all over.

There's something not right with Bill Walker right now.

Good God
They're really letting them play down low.

Walker
Is looking a little better tonight.  Shown a little explosiveness and willingness to go to the basket.

This has not been Beasley's best night, and yet he's still amazing.

We're not playing very good help defense.

Gotta stop turning the ball over.

Dagger

Nice shot by McAlarney, but why on earth were we trapping in that situation.  Down two, more than 1:30 to go, all we need is a stop.  We don't need a steal, we just need a stop.

Let's hope they fight back, but I'm not optimistic.
