Well, there really isn't much to say.  The "Adventures" that have been fun for me to write (when the mood struck me) have run their course, and the family that we've grown to love will now be down two members.  So, most likely, this will be the last we hear from our obnoxious and profane dysfunctional family.

Behind closed doors at the Big 12's annual meetings, the boys got together to hash out the topics of the day. You know...important things like where we're going to hold the Women's Basketball tournament for the next three years.

Just kidding.  Only Baylor cares about that.

Anyway, everyone knows that's not what was on everyone's mind. And, thankfully, through the power of 'multiple sources', we have a strong report of what happened when the gang got together in Kansas City this week.

Some of you who enjoy the Adventures series probably wonder where in the hell I come up with a lot of these characters and their personalities.  Sure, I like to take what I perceive to be the university's "real life" personality, but I also have a back story in my head for each and every one of them that works its way onto the page.

Yes, I'm that weird.

Anyway, as some of you have probably already guessed by reading other Adventures posts, I'm a big fan of Lost, so the usage of flashbacks is attractive to me in telling a story.  So I figured that since Big 12 play has started, I'd try to share bits and pieces of that back story with you when appropriate.

Considering that this is 'Farmageddon' week, I figure it's only fitting to start off with Iowa State.

Good readers, I want to apologize.  I said that the conclusion would drop today, and it didn't come.

Funny story...I had actually started writing it, and honestly, I liked where it was going.  However, last night, before TB and I did a podcast with our good friends at Rock M Nation, my hard drive froze.  I spent the better part of six hours trying to recover data and restore my system from Vista's 'Safe Mode'.  Believe you me, there's nothing "safe" about Windows Vista, but I digress.

Regardless, one of the casualties of that debacle was losing the work I had already done on the final chapter of the trilogy.  In a strange way, the island infected my computer as well.

So, I just wanted to throw an apology out there.  I'll be sitting down tomorrow to write the final chapter (again), and hopefully, it will be up on Monday.  Please, check back then.
