On that night, I was in Kansas City, Mo., to watch K-State play for a conference title against what many considered an unstoppable juggernaut. To quote my friend's sign from that evening: "I believe!"

For the first time, the Kansas State Athletics Department is offering a full menu of ticket options for the 2010 football season, highlighted by unchanged season ticket prices, and a new variety of mini-packages and single-game choices for one of the most exciting home football schedules in recent memory.

K-State is holding steady on the cost of tickets — public season bench seating in Bill Snyder Family Stadium remains priced at $300 and chairback seating $335, the same price levels that have been in place since the 2006 season.

Prices for K-State faculty/staff are $241 for bench and $268 for chairback.

This is the second straight year Sweat has earned first-team honors.

Kansas State women's basketball enters the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships on Thursday as the No. 9 seed and will face the eighth-seeded Texas Tech Lady Raiders at 11 a.m., at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.

This is the first time K-State enters the Big 12 Championship as the ninth seed.

K-State and Texas Tech will meet for the second time this season and the 19th time in the history of the series.

The first meeting this season resulted in a 75-67 overtime win for the Lady Raiders in Bramlage Coliseum.

The overall series record between the schools is tied 9-9, with Texas Tech holding a 2-1 edge in games played in the Big 12 Championships.

Clinging to a 2-1 lead in the seventh, Kansas State scored four runs on five hits in support of a strong pitching performance by Kyle Hunter and the Wildcats defeated Harvard 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in the Bright House Invitational at Melching Field.

With the victory, the Wildcats improved to 9-2 overall, including a perfect 3-0 mark in the event hosted by Stetson University.

The Cats also finished their eight-game Florida road trip with a 7-1 record. Harvard suffered its first loss of the season and the Crimson fell to 2-1.

Kansas State improved to 8-2 with the victory, while Notre Dame, which lost a game earlier in the day to Harvard, fell to 4-4.

With the win, Kansas State improved to 7-2 overall.

The victory also marked the 200th at K-State for head coach Brad Hill, who became just the second coach in school history with at least 200 wins.

Stetson fell to 3-6 with the loss.

That's what K-State President Kirk Schulz told the students, faculty and staff as he provided details on K-State 2025, an ambitious plan to take the university to greater heights within the next 15 years.
