The Wildcats always seem to find some magic (read: hot shooting) at the Sprint Center in December. (Arne Green, Salina Journal)
Nino Williams led the team with 17, followed by Thomas Gipson with 14 points. Wesley Iwundu and Marcus Foster each had 10 points, and Iwundu had a ridiculous one-handed dunk that the crowd is probably still excited about.

The women's basketball team beat Grambling State 61-38, behind a powerful first half surge. Deborah Meeks led the team with a career-best 16 points, including a three at the buzzer. Freshman Shaelyn Martin joined her in the double digits, with 11 points, also a career-best. The four-game homestand for the Wildcats continues on Monday against Abilene Christian.
