K-State travels to Lubbock tonight in search of its third-straight conference win when it takes on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Tech is winless in conference play, and I'd prefer we keep it that way.

If you can, I highly recommend listening to the radio broadcast tonight, which will feature Brian Smoller on the play-by-play. Smoller is one of the best broadcasters I've ever heard. At the same time, our sympathies to Wyatt Thompson and his family as they mourn the death of his father this week.

The K-State/Missouri series has been hard on fans' blood pressure the last few years, and this one should be just as much of a war as previous versions.

For the first time since 2001, K-State will play its postseason football in the Cotton Bowl. This time, the venue will be Cowboys Stadium rather than the venerable Cotton Bowl, and the opponent will be the SEC's Arkansas, rather than Tennessee. Enjoy every minute, folks, as this is your last football for eight long months.
