It’s unclear which schools Marcus Coker will consider for a transfer, although Maryland was one of a handful of schools — Kansas State, Minnesota and Wake Forest being the others – to offer a scholarship during the first recruiting process.

Have to admit I saw this one coming. Helps Patterson game plan a little more. That was a sweet rental agreement for HCGP.
1. In the wake of the Sugar Bowl’s decision to overlook No. 7 Boise State and No. 8 Kansas State, one suggestion being discussed for the next BCS contract is to obligate the BCS bowls to take the highest-ranked available team rather than have the ability to choose an at-large team. The bowls surely will balk, and may cry antitrust. But no one is forcing them to be in the BCS. Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott wouldn’t address that idea specifically but said, "There are things we all see that could be better."
2. A plus-one will be discussed at the BCS meetings next spring but it will take a unanimous vote of the six AQ conferences to implement it before the current contract with ESPN expires in two years. Even if they get that, there’s a bigger problem. The Cotton Bowl, the leading candidate for the fifth site, is on Fox for the next two years; the BCS is on ESPN.

2/3rds of Maisel's 3pt stance. I hope the Cotton Bowl throws a wrench into things in a good way. Perhaps a plus one is adopted, and Fox gets more control over the coverage in 2015.
"The best part for the Weis family now is we can see the end of the rainbow," the coach said. "Then I'm going to retire with my wife and my son."
After spending less than 24 hours in the town the guy understands rainbows start and stop in Lawrence, KS.
UCFSports.com also reports that Kansas State intends to buy out of the 2012 game with the Knights.

I am not a proponent of a multi-round college football playoff system. While it would certainly be interesting for fans, I do not think it is in the best interest of our football student-athletes. Generally the season is long enough considering the physical demands of the game and the fact that the players are indeed supposed to be students first.
AD John Currie, in a letter that was just delivered to my KSU student email account. It's very disappointing to hear a man I respect spout the cliched nonsense about a playoff not being "in the best interest of our football student-athletes." Hopefully the people looking at the proposed plus-one model will ignore this type of claptrap.
