2014 Reese's Senior Bowl: Marcus Heit Accepts Invitation

We've been waiting to see which senior Wildcats, if any, would be invited to Mobile for the Senior Bowl on January 25, and we finally got one -- from out of nowhere. Long snapper Marcus Heit becomes the first Wildcat to accept an invitation to the prestigious all-star game, and for all we know he may be the only senior invited. The Senior Bowl releases new acceptance announcements each Monday on their twitter account (@seniorbowl), and will continue to do so until rosters are finalized in mid-January. So we may yet see some other names pop up over the next three weeks or so.

Lockett, Mueller Earn FWAA Second-Team All-America Honors

The Football Writers Association of America announced their All-America selections today, and second-team nods were given to Tyler Lockett at wide receiver (not all-purpose!) and DE Ryan Mueller.

Obviously, this all but clinches K-State's bump up to the Buffalo Wild WIngs Bowl. Sorry, Holiday Bowl. We love you, but it just wasn't meant to be this year.
