JMart Turns Back on KSU

4

You all remember the greatest KSU beat writer the Wichita Eagle had? Not the douche beaker they have there now, but the guy before him, Jeffrey Martin...or JMart to those of us who read his blog religiously. Well he voted for KSU at #7 this week and that has me a little hacked off. Yeah, it could be I'm bored out of my mind at work on a slow day. It could even be the 3 beers I had for lunch...for lunch, not with lunch. Well if you're as hacked off as I am (moderately) or you just want to say hi, email JMart at: jeffrey.martin@chron.com And don't even get me started with the A-Hole Dave Jones...9?!? 9?!?!! That is all.

Good for Ty. I didn't realize he had such impressive stats. To be sure, if Lamur and Hartman had lived up to even half their preseason hype, Ty shouldn't have seen the field, but I'll take what I can get.

Student-Athletes Receive Degrees in Fall Commencement

Kansas State University held its fall commencement exercises during the weekend, and among those receiving degrees were 16 current or former Wildcat student-athletes. Highlighting the 16 who graduated Saturday were five members of the K-State football team, four from the track and field teams, two men’s golf student-athletes, and one member each of the baseball, women’s golf, tennis, volleyball and women’s basketball teams.

Not sure how this will affect our game but it seemed newsworthy.

Look out Mizzou your opponent seems to be coming apart prior to the bowl game. Or so the rumors would have us believe.

Wildcats Sail Past Aggies

Taelor Karr scored 17 points and grabbed a career high-tying 12 rebounds for the first Wildcat double-double this season, and the K-State women's basketball team beat the UC Davis Aggies 61-41 on Sunday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum. The game moved Kansas State to 8-1 this season and a perfect 8-0 at home.

K-State Honors 2010 Football Team Sunday Night

+

Running back Daniel Thomas, and defensive backs David Garrett and Ty Zimmerman, were named Kansas State’s 2010 offensive and defensive MVPs, and kick returner William Powell and long snapper Corey Adams took special teams MVP honors when the Wildcat football program held its annual awards ceremony Sunday night at McCain Auditorium on the K-State campus. Defensive back Terrance Sweeney earned K-State’s most improved player award on defense, with sophomore quarterback Collin Klein taking home the squad’s most improved offensive player honor.

They are calling their divisions "Legends" and "Leaders." Does anything more really need to be said? The "Classiest Fans in the Nation" will fit in quite well.

Just how far out will the ripple affect go from Muschamp Leaving UT

6

More specifically, given the recoil of forcing his offensive coordinator to retire, and the subsequent fall out from that coupled now with Muschamp makes one wonder can UT bounce back? Obviously they have the resources/reputation to hire quality individuals, but with such a high turnover on staff seems like it will be hard to get some chemistry going in yr 1 next year. It will be interesting to see if their recruiting class takes a hit (would almost have to). Does K-state have any battles with UT right now (just 1 perhaps?!?!?)? I'd have to say next year's Big 12 pre-season poll is OU, with OSU, Mizzou and Tex A&M all up there at the top.

Wally out indefinitely due to "personal reasons."
