Classy gesture by our new coach. And also a savvy recruiting move. I must have missed the equivalent ad from Frank in The Manhattan Mercury: "Thanks for making me a millionaire when everyone else was laughing at you for hiring me, K-State!" I'm sure it will run Monday...

I know all but $5 million of that "profit" is misleading because it represents uncollected donations for the BTF and WSC, but it's still really impressive to see K-State listed among schools whose stadiums seat around 100,000 and generate massive profit. For an athletic director, this is like making the Final Four or reaching a BCS game. And it's why we probably won't have to worry about John Currie running off coaches in about two years.

Feel bad for this kid. I was just rummaging around on the Wichita Eagle's site, and saw they had a photo album of KSU's practice at the arena in Pittsburgh. This kid was probably living a dream when this picture was taken. Now that high point in his life has a scar on it.
