Commissioner Bowlsby announced a public reprimand of K-State Band Director Dr. Frank Tracz for the inappropriate use of a Jayhawk on the field during the halftime show Sept. 5th.
Local Manhattan radio news station, 1350 KMAN, visited with K-State Band Director Frank Tracz shortly after the Tuesday morning announcement of sanctions imposed on the K-State Marching Band.
William Shatner responds to the announced sanction against the Kansas State Marching Band.
K-State has announced official internal sanctions for the K-State band and it's director Dr. Frank Tracz.
The sanctions include a $5000 fine to be paid to the Big 12 offices; Dr. Tracz is suspended for one game (at Kansas); and all routines must now be approved by Student Life and the athletic department.
The K-State Collegian was supposed to have a AML event with Dr. Frank Tracz, director of the K-State Marching Band, but the event was shut down as quickly as it started due to a couple quick emails from K-State President Kirk Schulz and AD John Currie. Hopefully Dr. Tracz will be allowed to speak after he meets with the K-State top brass.

— K-State Collegian (@kstatecollegian) September 7, 2015Welp, that settles it. If Captain Kirk says no apology needed, then there's no apology needed.
On the first play from scrimmage Jesse Ertz took off on a designed QB run. That run ended in injury for Ertz as he got up limping. He did say in the game for another play before leaving for the sidelines. Based on the image in the above tweet it doesn't look like Ertz will be returning to this game. We'll keep you updated with more information as it becomes available.
According to a KSU Football source interviewed by the collegian, Jesse Ertz will start for K-State in 2015.
