Locations Showing Iowa State Game

We have finished calling the locations and have a list of KSU friendly locations that will be showing the KSU vs Iowa State mens basketball game Saturday March 6th @ 5:00 PM CST.

Just go to PowercatVision.com and click on the link labeled "Locations in PowercatVision.com's Database Showing the Game" located in the "Outlook" section of the home page or right by the weather.  This will download a zipped up spreadsheet for you to browse through.

Iowa State Channel Guide

The Iowa State channel guide is up and ready for viewing.

From the results of putting this guide together it looks like you're going to better off finding a local bar to view this game unless you have DirecTV or Dish.

Apparently Big 12 Network doesn't care to show the #2 team in the league's last game.  Things could change so stay posted to the site.

Please feel free to email any corrections to info@PowercatVision.com.

Who is K-State's greatest Trillionaire?

We know live in a world where stats, sometimes completely useless, can be found in anything. After reading a Black Heart Gold Pants article about a new stat - "The Trillion." (Don't worry Cat fans, Devan Bawinkel Is The World's Greatest Trillionaire.)

Arthur Brown is ours now

I'm sure some people are thinking so what, he didn't do anything at Miami blah blah blah. But anytime you infuse raw talent with Snyder magic you get results and that's something we need at this moment. I know the focus is on our Sunflower Showdown right now and I hope with everything in my body we kill KU on their ode to Collins night, but this can just be a little added fuel to the burning Kansas State fire!

Hammer and Rails is trying to sort out the #1 seeds

Link to their post here.

They didn't consider Kansas State, but I can't really argue with the 7 teams they did pick.  (They may also have completely blanked on K-State's existence since they also left us off Kansas' win list.)  Just for my own amusement I put together KSU's profile in the same style for comparison and it seems to fall towards the bottom of the pile, but doesn't really look out of place.  (My RPI numbers are 3 days newer than theirs so there will be some discrepancies.)

Kansas State (21-4, 9-3) RPI: 6  SOS: 6

Top 25 RPI wins: #13 Texas A&M, at #15 Baylor, #19 Xavier, #25 Texas

Top 50 RPI wins: #37 Dayton (neutral court), at #43 UNLV

Losses: #1 Kansas, #29 Oklahoma State, at #39 Missouri, #60 Mississippi (neutral court)

Positives: 6-1 in true road games (5-1 in conference, 2-0 vs top 50 RPI), loss to Mississippi was early in the season, remaining schedule is solid, but except for Kansas should be wins, #6 in SOS, in #1 RPI conference, could really impress people with a win at Kansas

Negatives: loss to Mississippi and home loss to Oklahoma State hurt a bit, 2nd place in conference with little chance to get to first, 4 losses already and Kansas will probably provide a 5th

Remaining Schedule: at #46 Texas Tech, #39 Missouri, at #1 Kansas, #120 Iowa State

Verdict: ?
I figure I'll leave that for everybody else to discuss.  It seems like the real wild card is, "Can they win the rematch with Kansas, and if not, how much of a handicap do they get for playing 2 games against the #1 team?"

KSU Nebraska Game tonight

As you watch the ksu nebraska watch for jacob pullen and dennis clemente to lead the way for the wildcats. Nebraska will hang around for the first few minutes of the game but the athletic ability and the inside men in jamar samuels, wally judge, curtis kelly and rodney mcgruder is just too strong for nebraska to contend with. The wildcats have lost three games in the big 12 all they should have won. the one against oklahoma state was the most dissapointing one to watch them lose but they didnt get to the foul line a lot and the defense didn't play that well. The KU game what should i say the ref clearly missed a foul on chris merrieweather in the final seconds on sheron collins and for the missouri loss KSU wasnt used to the full court press but they are now and there lookin like one of the best teams in k-state history and well be dancing well into march and possibly april. My prediction 27-4 (16-3)

headin into the NCAA championship tournament. BRING ON THE CATS!!
