Wildcats Swat Hornets

Behind a career-high performance from Freddy Asprilla, along with season-high performances from Jacob Pullen and Rodney McGruder, the Kansas State men’s basketball team improved to 6-1 this season after dismantling Emporia State 85-61. Asprilla was too much for the Hornets to handle on the block, scoring 17 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting night. He also pulled down eight rebounds, including five on the offensive end, to lead all players Monday night.

One option for Big 12 expansion is gone: TCU is joining the Big East

Snooze you lose, I guess. I'm not too upset, since TCU doesn't bring any TV markets that aren't already covered, but this probably SEVERELY hampers any hope KSU had of landing Coach Patterson when Coach Snyder steps down.
