As announced on Twitter, All-Big 12 Defensive Tackle Travis Britz has been invited to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mini-camp.
Excited for the opportunity to go to the #Bucs minicamp!

Britz was a four-year fixture at DT, being in the rotation during the Wildcats 2012 Big 12 title run, before becoming the main starter in 2013. He earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore and junior, before earning Second Team All-Big 12 honors as a senior. In 2015, Britz had the most productive season for a Wildcat DT since Mario Fatafehi's senior season in 2000.
Based on the announcement, this is only an invite to mini-camp as opposed to an actual signing, so Travis will have an up-hill battle to earn a roster spot going in to preseason camp. He joins fellow Wildcats Luke Hayes in taking this route into the NFL.
