Kaelin H. Key (b. Sept. 2, 1997) is a walk-on defensive tackle from Bishop Miege High School in Roeland Park.
He was a four-year starter for the Stags under head coach John Holmes and a rated three-star prospect by ESPN.
Key helped to lead Bishop Miege to Kansas Class 4A state championships as a junior and senior, including an undefeated mark in 2014. He recorded career totals of 267 tackles, 67 tackles for loss and 20 sacks.
He also carded 102 tackles, including 31 tackles for loss, and nine sacks as a senior en route to Eastern Kansas League Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Key was named to the Top 11 teams by The Wichita Eagle and The Topeka-Capital Journal, in addition to all-state honors from both publications. He also competed in track and field.
Key's father, Vincent, attended K-State and was the head team physician for the 2015 World Champion Kansas City Royals. Watch his son's high school highlights here.
