K-State Slate: 4.4.14

Rough Tough, Real Stuff

Friday? Friday is forever.

Leading off with the BatCats on this slow news Friday...

K-State baseball takes on that other school in the Sunflower Showdown. Levi MaVorhis gets the start. The BatCats hope this series goes better than the recently concluded outing with Creighton.

Ross Kivett is featured in this story, noting how his position change has contributed to a turnaround for the team.

Twenty (20!) K-State riders have been named to the NCEA Academic team, including three riders on the first team.

The Baylor Bears official site weighs in on the upcoming matchup with K-State. Baylor won the earlier meeting this year, 4-3.

K-State athletes will take part in three different meets in California this weekend. Most of the team will be at the Stanford Invitational. The decathletes and heptathletes are in Westmont for the Sam Adams Multi, while the distance runners are off to the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.

K-State's first Varsity 8 wins C-USA Boat of the Week. Up next, the San Diego Crew Classic this weekend.

Apparently, there is more to college than just the degree. Who knew?!.
