(12) Iowa State (20-7, 10-5 Big 12) | at | Kansas State (14-15, 7-9 Big 12) |
Aside from the mandate to pay Iowa State back for their truly inconsiderate failure to win on Wednesday, there's still an outside shot at finishing in sixth place and avoiding day one of the Big 12 Tournament. Also, it's Senior Day; barring home games in a post-season tournament, it's the last hurrah in Manhattan for Thomas Gipson, Shawn Meyer, and Nino Williams.
Regifters
The game: Kansas State hosts the Iowa State Cyclones. K-State leads the overall series 136-83, although in the Big 12 era the Cyclones have a 22-19 edge. In Manhattan, the Cats have taken 79 of 104 meetings. Bruce Weber is 3-4 all-time against Iowa State, while Fred Hoiberg is 7-5 against the Wildcats; Hoiberg leads the head-to-head series between the coaches 4-2. The Cats lost in Ames back in January, but only by six.
Odds: Vegas is unimpressed by K-State's win over Kansas on Monday, largely because of the Wildcats' inconsistent Jekyll-and-Hyde personality. The Cyclones are a four-point favorite.
Tipoff: Saturday, February 28 at 3:00pm CT, Bramlage Coliseum (12,528) in Manhattan, Kansas.
Tickets: Tickets are available from the ticket office; $55, $65 for chairbacks.
