College Football Viewing Guide/Open Thread: Week 4

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

After a solid lineup of games last week, the pickings are slim this time around. These are your best bets and your open thread to discuss them.

Last weekend was fun, even if you didn't like Alabama's trip to College Station. This week? Not so much.

There are no real marquee matchups this weekend in college football. Of course, given that K-State's matchup with Texas found its way into a primetime TV slot on ABC, you should have already known that. In any event, SB Nation's excellent weekly viewing guide is here. For you degenerate gamblers, here are SB Nation's weekly picks, as well as Bill Connelly's F+ picks.

K-State's open thread will go live one hour before kickoff. The rest of the Big 12 action is below.

KU vs. Louisiana Tech, Lawrence, Kan., 11:00 a.m., FS1: Other than Iowa State, this is KU's best chance at a win the rest of the year.

West Virginia vs. Maryland, Baltimore, Md., 2:30 p.m., ESPNU: By far West Virginia's best opponent to date, which isn't saying a lot with the Terrapins.

Baylor vs. Louisiana-Monroe, Waco, Texas, 3:00 p.m., FS1: When Art Briles and Todd Berry lock horns, you should make time to sit down and watch.

Texas Tech vs. Texas State, Lubbock, Texas, 6:00 p.m., FSN: Roll Tire? ROLL DAMN TIRE
