After all the games I've attended and taking photos, they all kind of run together when looking through. So I decided to go a completely different route for this game, and for the first time did everything monochromatic. Black and white, sepia, and even a purple filter. Full disclosure, I attempted some panoramic shots of the stadium and completely failed in that venture. I might get enough nerve later in the season to try and bring in a tripod setup to get it. I tend to push the envelope as to where a guy with a camera gets access as some of the following photos might indicate.
This guy deserves a special shout out, and from what I understand is okay. This photo is a little ominous considering he leaves the stadium in the back of that EMS.
This next little section is dedicated to the SPECTATORS, and a little bit of people watching on my part.
It might just be me, but for some reason this guy completely captures the fans feelings toward the game after 3 quarters.
The ARENA and COMBATANTS
This guy doesn't deserve our wrath.
This next photo is my favorite of the day. So much going on in the background with the entrance, the crowd, the band, the other players; blurred out by the calm of Rose.
The CONTEST! I don't take a lot of game photos as I'm into the game and being in the stands isn't the best for action photos compared to actually being on the sidelines, but here's a few.
Lockett is one slight hand tripping him up from breaking this one.
Trickett loading up...
so close to a pick!
Okay, these next two kind of show the speed of college football. Picture 1, Zimmerman is basically alone, needing to make this tackle.
By the next shot, bang, three guys on a gang tackle.
This photo is just to ask anybody else if WVU numbers looked kind of weird on those uniforms?
The HEROS! and the JESTERS!
I think that big ol' bling on Justin Tuggle's hand is a Big 12 Championship.
This guy missed out on a $1,000 scholarship...what? A $1,000 is all, c'mon Allstate!
When these kids ran, at the time, that was easily the largest ovation of the day.
Coach Holgorsen wasn't in the mood to have a photo captured.
Thank you Cats! for another fun Saturday.
