Well with no game this week and being home on saturday for the first time in about a month I can get the bowl picks out a little earlier this week.
Fiesta Bowl: Kansas State- Well K-State handled their much anticipated matchup with Bye with relative ease. But seriously I don't think I have ever felt better about a teams prospects after a bye week.
Cotton Bowl: West Virginia- The mountaineers defense was exposed for the shaky suspect unit that they are on Saturday against a Baylor team that I think may have been playing up to the occasion.
Alamo Bowl: Texas- Texas had a fairly good game on offense, but then again who doesn't in Stilwater.
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: Oklahoma State- With their fairly impressive outing against Texas I beleive that the cowboys will get it together and win some games this season.
Holiday Bowl: Oklahoma- Oklahoma has sme serious issues and may be in for some rough games when they turn into shootouts.
Texas Bowl: TCU- The horn feogs like, like a surprisingly high amount of teams in the leauge, are having problems getting their anemic offense going. 5 ints and only 24 points thats pretty bad.
Pinstripe Bowl: Baylor- The bears will never score that much against any decent FBS school ever again. But they are still 3-1 with games against Iowa State, KU, and Texas left on the schedule.
Well with a week off K-State should be well rested for the bulk of the upcoming Big 12 schedule. After an easy win this week the wildcats should roll though Ames and on their way to Morgantown for what should be a primerime matchup with West Virginia... The Mountaineers won a shootout with Baylor in a game that had scores every 26 seconds. But this game should send a message to every team in the Big 12 if your defense can slow either team down there can be some blowouts... Texas and Oklahoma State squared off on in a much calmer shootout where the longhorns walked out of Stillwater with the W, but like the WVU-Baylor game, both teams showed they have big flaws... TCU got some revenge for their overtime loss to SMU last season, but their offense was far from perfect as as they picked the D got 5 picks but only scored 24 points... In a game that stood in sharp contrast to the rest of the games during the day Texas Tech beat Iowa State in a a mild defensive battle. Iowa State has a great defense but may have the worst offense in the Big 12 and you can't win with out being at least average in one.
