#23 Collin Sexton
Position: Wide Receiver
Previous College: None
Collin David Sexton (b. Oct. 18, 1993) is the younger brother of sophomore wide receiver Curry Sexton. Although Collin is a walk-on, he's pretty acclaimed and athletic in his own right, which one would expect given the bloodlines.
The younger Sexton lettered three years at Abilene High School, helping to lead the Cowboys to a 10-1 record in 2011 and a spot in the Kansas Class 4A playoffs.
He earned all-conference and Class 4A All-State honors on both offense and defense during his junior and senior seasons, and set the school's single-season and career records for receptions, receiving yards, and TD catches.
Collin hauled in 51 catches for 924 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior, including a pair of seven-catch, 135-yard efforts. He opened his senior campaign with a season-best three receiving touchdowns.
He also rushed 14 times for 104 yards, and excelled on defense, as well — he carded 129 tackles and picked off eight passes, including three in a game against Marysville. He was chosen to play in the 2012 Kansas Shrine Bowl.
Collin caught 23 passes for 501 yards and five touchdowns as a junior, and he also lettered four years in basketball and track.
