K-State Basketball

Bruce Weber is giving his players a break before they travel to Brazil for 10-days. Weber called Omari Lawrence the surprise of camp.

K-State Volleyball

K-State's volleyball match against Iowa State in Ames, Iowa, will be broadcast on ESPNU. This will mark K-State's first appearance on ESPNU.

Social Media Blitz

The athletic department is launching a number of social media initiatives. They include an online promotion for the opening football game, as well as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest campaigns.

Big 12 Football

With Heisman Trophy-winner Robert Griffin III off to the NFL, the backup band takes the stage at Baylor. Nick Florence's beard is awesome, but he's not RGIII.

Bill previews KU football and its transition to the "seductive" Charlie Weis. That adjective is offered without comment.

Possible Transfers

Auburn dismissed quarterback Zeke PIke after an arrest for public intoxication earlier this summer.

After two arrests in three days last week, Iowa dismissed running back De'Andre Johnson.
