K-State Basketball

K-State will play on back-to-back Big Mondays this year. First up, the Sunflower Showdown in Lawrence will be the Big Monday game on February 11. The next week, Bob Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers return to Manhattan for the nationally televised contest.

Kirk Schulz

For the next four years, K-State University President Kirk Schulz will serve a term on the NCAA's Board of Directors.

Penn State

Thirty Penn State players met and announced their intention to remain at Penn State. So, basically one starting unit is committed to staying. If it really is 30, then what about the other 55 scholarship players? Still no word on whether K-State is recruiting any of Penn State's players.

Penn State University President Rodney Erickson told ESPN that Penn State's alternative was a four-year death penalty. Nevertheless, Penn State's Board of Trustees met to discuss whether things would have gone differently if it had been kept in the loop.
