Former K-State offensive lineman Zach Hanson is joining the coaching staff this season as a graduate assistant.

K-State's Ryann Krais finished seventh in the heptathlon at the U.S. Olympic Trials, a big improvement over her 14th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She won't be going to the Olympics, but that's nothing to be ashamed of.

Big 12 Conference

West Virginia and Texas Christian officially joined the Big 12 on Sunday.

New Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby confirmed that the Big 12 schools have agreed to and signed a 13-year grant of media rights.
