K-State Football
K-State has three preseason first-team all-conference players. Linebacker Arthur Brown, cornerback Nigel Malone, and kick returner Tyler Lockett were all named first-team Big 12.
Another watch list is out. This time, K-State quarterback Collin Klein is on the preseason watch list for the Davey O'Brien Award.
West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith beat out Landry Jones for preseason offensive player of the year.
College Football Playoff
I hope reading this doesn't give Furnace a coronary. ESPN is the frontrunner to land the entire college football playoff, at $600 million per year.
Miami
Miami dismissed safety Ray-Ray Armstrong, and offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson may be suspended.
SEC!
This is apropos of nothing, but I love a good spelling mistake. I bet Gene Chizik would be ssurprised to learn that he is "complementary" of Missouri and Texas A&M. They go together like peas and carrots, you guys.
