K-State Football
Collin Klein is set for a memorable senior season, on and off the field. On the field, all eyes will be on the senior quarterback to see if he can equal or exceed last season's impressive production. Off the field, there's a wedding to plan. At some point in the season, if Klein has a bad half or game, you know someone will wonder if he's spending too much time worrying about his wedding and not enough time concentrating on football.
K-State will break ground on the West Stadium Center expansion on April 28th, the day of the spring football game.
K-State Basketball
With the end of the college basketball season comes a slew of questions. Kevin Haskin goes ahead and asks them.
Bruce Weber officially announced Chris Lowery as one of his assistant coaches last week. Unfortunately, Trey Ziegler announced that he his transferring from Central Michigan to Pitt, so it sounds like K-State lost out on the Ziegler sweepstakes.
K-State Baseball
The Bat Cats swept the Sacred Heart Pioneers over the weekend. K-State visits Missouri State on Wednesday before welcoming red-hot Baylor to Manhattan next weekend. The Bears are undefeated in Big 12 Conference play at 12-0.
S-E-C!
Remember on Friday we told you how Arkansas had suspended Bobby Petrino because he lied to his boss and admitted to an "inappropriate relationship" with a 25-year-old engaged woman whom he had just hired to work for the Razorbacks' football program (goodness, it takes a lot of words to describe that situation)? Yes, there will be a rally on campus in support of keeping him. As Rob Cassidy tweeted on Friday, a winning coach could set a student manager on fire, and the fans would figure out a way to justify it.
