The biggest parts of last years linebacker corps returns this year with Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Arthur Brown and Tre Walker both returning to their positions. The third linebacker spot will feature Jarell Childs and/or ex-QB Justin Tuggle. After transferring from Miami, Arthur Brown proved that his 5 star rating was no mistake as he became the fourth K-Stater to be named Big 12 newcomer of the year in the last five years. There is no doubt that Manny Lamur will be missed but there are plenty of players with great athleticism that will replace him. Despite having to break in a new starter I would expect this group to be better than last year and with new DC Tom Hayes now calling plays to get into the backfield even more.
