K-State links, 2.21.12
The Mercury has an article on the upcoming game against Missouri, so does the KC Star. I especially like this quote from the Mercury article:
"These guys come in and they don't let things get them down. Practices are great," the K-State coach said. "Someone said to me the other day 'you don't seem as animated on the sidelines.' What should I be animated about? These guys are trying their hearts out. Because the ball doesn't go in the basket sometimes doesn't make us a bad team.
Someone compiled the records for the first five years of K-State basketball coaches since WWII. Coach Martin seems to be doing okay amongst some pretty good coaches.
I'm not sure if this is amusing, sad or both, but one of the local pizza places is offering 2 for $10 tickets to the KU @ aTm game. Maybe this offer will happen next week for the K-State game, although not sure I can get off work early enough to attend the game.
Football player representatives announced for next year.
Bat Cats lost the series in CA.

A nice article from the Mercury about JO -
http://www.themercury.com/K-StateSports/article.aspx?articleId=ae0d8b9492074368909375904415c898 – I really like JO, and while I’m a little sad that he’s not a 12/10 guy this season, he’s still been quite good. I hope he can be great next year.
I really like Martin’s quote too. It’s been an interesting season and I’m exciting for the finish.
Sexton’s a team rep? No kidding.
"Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them." - Ephesians 4:29
From the OSR that I can't find today -
""As an athlete, he has gotten stronger, he moves better, runs better and he can actually catch the ball, which was an adventure two years ago," Martin said of Henriquez early in the year. “He has really gotten a grasp on the things that we are trying to do on both sides of the floor. His challenge is to continue to deal with the physical part of the game.”
"Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them." - Ephesians 4:29
That quote from the Mercury
Sums up how I feel about this whole season.

I love good publicity, especially when it's Angel making a Bear look scared.

I'm going go with Pan...
I can imagine him rocking that attire with a sardonic attitude.
