Football

Fundamental defense against glitzy offense, could be fun to watch.

Two good coaches will match up in the Fiesta Bowl.

Coach Snyder used to drive a VW Karmann Ghia.

Del Miller encourages Collin Klein.

Malone respects the Ducks but still wants to beat 'em.

Schulz speaks about expansion.

Zimmerman should be 100% at game time.

Some things to do in the valley of the sun.

Bowl Diary Day 1, the second entry and then I find out none of us are invited to the New Year's Eve bash in the third installment.

Basketball

One way to characterize the game against UMKC is defensive battle. Another way is to say that K-State had trouble scoring despite causing 18 turnovers and having a bunch of offensive rebounds. Play like this will see the Cats not do well in conference play.

Cats play Coyotes at 1:10 p.m. CST today. I'm sure the game will be well attended with it being a work day and the students on Christmas break. If you are watching on TV, see if you notice the band director.

Lady Cats visited the UCSB Thunderdome and emerged victorious.

Etc.

Most likely there will not be a slate tomorrow since I'm listening to music tonight until late.
