Kent choose K-State over Arizona State. He was also a former quarterback.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder played quarterback at Edgewater High school in Orlando, but did not receive any offers coming out of there in 2010.
Gainous, who came to TVCC as a quarterback out of high school, was converted to safety because of his 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash and athleticism.
Gainous chose the Wildcats over an offer from Arizona State.

And I didn’t find anything that I can confirm about him out of high school. I’m guessing there aren’t many Kent Gaiouseseses out there, but the one I did find from high school did not receive an offer from a bunch of school Snyder would play for the first game of the season (MTSU, Toledo, KU etc).

New Recruit at Safety
I’m hopefull that we have a underclassman that can step in and fill Hartman’s place at safety. Glad to hear that Kent G. has 4.4 speed (hopefully this is legit) and can work his way into the starting lineup or provide quality depth at safety.
